I did this at the weekend and know nothing about cars.
I won't try to explain to you how to do it incase i forget something important. what i would say is purchase a Haynes manual and follow that like i did. it took me about two hours taking my time and trying to understand how it all works.
my anti freeze was old, so i purchased some new anti-freeze and new thermostat, it came to about £15-20. get a bucket, set of grips/pliers and a socket set 10mm. that is all you need
