My son bought me one of the above MP3 players approx 12 months ago. I used the player I think about twice for short periods and it has been lying in a drawer for about 10 months. I tried to use the player recently and found I could not use it. I tried to re charge the battery with negative result. When you connect it it lights up for a split second and then says ' checking disc ' and stays like that for hours with no obvious result. i appreciate the player is at the lower end of the price range so is it worth fixing .
