Dimmer switch problem?

Different dimmer to my other question. Dimmer controls 3 dining room spotlight bulbs and keeps flickering and also going dimmer and lighter and vice versa when turned on fully. Very annoying. Sometimes just stays dim when fully on without brightening at all. Do we need to change dimmer? Thanks.

Yes

You need to ensure that the replacement dimmer is suitable for the type of lighting and the load. ie 3x35w Halogen fittings, 2x11w compact fluorescent fittings.

Different dimmers work for different types of lighting loads/types be sure you have the right replacement.
