hotpoint aquarius. wf640?

hi i have a hotpoint aquarius+ wf640 super silent. everything seems to be working ok, except its gone very loud when spinning. and now it wont pump out water. you can hear pump trying to go. but water just wont empty out. ive taken pump off and cleaned it. but its made no difference. it just keeps bringing up the code f-05. any idea what this means. or what the problem is. thanks

I know this is way too late to help you Angela but it may help someone else. I had the same problem and found that as well as taking out and cleaning the pump, you need to remove the black rubber pipework that connects the drum to the pump and clean out the ball valve thing you'll find in there. Mine was full of surprising debris (including 22p in loose change!). The junk stops the ball (which should be there by the way :)), from dropping down and allowing the water to escape into the pump.

+chances are the drain pump isnt working. if it sounds like its trying to go but not doing anything then it is either a blockage in the pipework somewhere or the drain pump itself. the machine probably sounds noisey when spinning because its trying to spin with a full load and the additional weight of the water...not good for drum motor or drum bearings
