changed battery on my van and now it wont start red light on clock keeps flashing any ideas please

Hi shaun after checking up a bit the transit can store a fault code after changing the battery, i think you will have to get the code reset before the van will start dunno if its a dealer reset or maybe a local mechanic could do it with a handheld diagnostic scanner.
The fault code should be p1260 and if its showing your van wil not recognise the key, hope this helps

Thats the immobiliser fault light im not being smart m8 but are you using the right key as i have changed the batterys in transits and havent come across that before. I take it thats a transit if you have a spare key try it to see in case the transponder is faulty in the key
