wool full length coat?

I just took my beautiful full length white wool coat out of the closet and it seems maybe moths have gotten to it. The coat has areas everywhere where it looks like the wool has been eaten away or rubbed off, but didn't touch the backing. How do I fix this problem without getting rid of my hundreds of dollars coat? Is there any kind of synthetic spray-on wool in a can or..... That option would work great for me, but have no idea if there is such a thing. HELP!!!!

It does sound like moths. I can't think of any way to repair it so that it would look like it did originally. But you could turn it into an art coat by felting new wool into/over the places where there are holes. Maybe some very light grey or pale blue could be used to create an abstract winter fantasy. If this isn't a project you want to try yourself, you might try posting a request on Etsy.com's Alchemy section.
