RENAULT SCENIC 55 PLATE CAR ALARM?

I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FROM NEW, I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE CARS ALARM, IT HAS BEEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WAS A KNOWN FAULT, AND THEY PLACED A PLASTIC TYPE GROMIT UNDER THE BONNETS SENSOR BUT IT STILL GOES OFF FOR NO REASON, HAVE CHECKED THE USUAL WINDOWS FULLY CLOSED etc PLEASE ADVISE.

how do i turn the volum up on my renault senic o7 plate as i can not hear the alarm when it goes off when im in doors as i have to park the car a distance away from the house.

Update: Renault have found a problem with this in a few models (so they have told me) and it has now been sorted, it was to do with the ultrasonics in the boot and they had to splice the wires to prevent this happening again.

UPDATE:(SCENIC 1.9DCI PRIV) GOING BACK TO RENAULT ON FRIDAY AS RENAULT HAVE ACTUALLY PUT 2 NOTICES ON THIS FAULT, THE FIRST IS TO TRY THE GROMIT ON THE SENSOR THE NEXT IS TO TAKE IT IN AND CHECK ALL, WHICH THEY ARE DOING.
