Toshiba Satelite Pro?

My Toshiba satelite pro is in serious need of some TLC.

Although I am currently connected to any broadband provider my laptop currently has the following faults:

No access to the e-drive. Laptop does not recognise there is a cd in the machine.
rundll errors flash up on screen
registry change boxes appear in the bottom right hand corner of the screen

I cannot find the disks I was given with the laptop and am at a loss as to where to even start to fix it.

Any ideas anyone?

Sometimes these laptops have a partition on them to restore the computer to factory defaults without the need of cd's. As you turn your computer on, you could try holding down the number 1 key until the computer beeps madly at you for a few seconds. There will be a menu which says "repair your computer", inside that, usually there is a toshiba recovery wizard. This is how we go about factory restoring display models at work when we sell them. I hope this helps :)
