I understand that the Auto standby feature recentky introduced by Skyonly affects Sky+ and Sky HD boxes. Mine is 2 years old and is neither. Any ideas?

I have found the answer. Sky have introduced Auto Standby on all their Satellite boxes without telling their customers. They have added an additional service on their on screen menu of "auto standby" which can be disabled. The handbook of course did not show this feature in their illustration of services page which was misleading/confusing. So al users need to access their services menu on all sky receivers and disable as required
