how can i fix ford iveco daily 3.5?

How can i fix ford iveco daily 3.5 the starter motor stays running after key has been removed.
Also when battery lead has been taken off and tried to be put back on van trys to start without keys

if you remove small wire on starter solenoid and couple batt lead and it still trys to start then solenoid is faulty [new starter needed] if it dosent try to start then it could be a short on solenoid feed wire-check from main starter lead that it has not rubbed through solenoid feed wire,also if it has a starter relay fitted this may be stuck closed-either way there must be a feed coming down this wire! may be ign switch wiring or switch itself.
