Battery size for (New World) gas hob ignition?

What's the typical battery size (and voltage) for ignition devices on a gas hob? All I know at the moment is that an AAA battery doesn't fit!

Wow, guess you grew up in an environment where your butler changed the batteries for you...

Here's some diameters to help you decide - all 1.5V

AAA = 0.4" / 10.2mm

AA = 0.55" / 14mm

C = 1.0" / 25.4mm

D = 1.3" / 33mm
