I saw the following answer to a similar question to mine

"Unfortunately, it sounds as if this is a modern piece, with a modern finish. Unlike the old 'french polish', modern finishes cannot be manipulated."

Does this mean there is a remedy for my SOLID mahogany, french polish finish table?
