How do I drain my system?

I have a worcester 28i junior, It seems to have a leek in the black plastic casing which the pump is bolted onto, is there a shut off vale to the pump or do I have to drain the system If so how do I do this, I know there is a drain tap on the pump is this what I use to drain the system?

Drain points are usually at the lowest point in the system - sometimes below the floor. Look for that first.
You could also check if there is an isolator on either side of the pump (or on entry / exit to the boiler) - if there is then you should be able to close these off to leave water in the system and only have to deal with the small amount in the pump (boiler).
