Regarding my broken crock pot?

I have a crock pot of your make which I purchased approx. one year ago. I was using it last week and all of a sudden the cord started to spark and actually melted some of the plastic. Thank goodness I was home as I often leave the pot on unattended or this would have caused a fire. Needless to say the crock pot is no longer functional and I would hesitate in the future to leave it unattended as a result. How can you compensate me as obviously the cord was faulty and the appliance should have lasted longer than one year. I unfortunately no longer have the bill from when it was purchased but considering the nature of the incident you could see why I would feel entitled to compensation. Please respond ASAP.

Rose, this is a public web site where people ask for help - it's called, "How to Mend It."

You will do best writing to the manufacturer although I doubt it will do any good - warranty is "owned" by the vendor and proof of purchase is usually required.
