Letters not typing ?

Unless I thump hard on the letters D & F they do not appear on screen when I type. Any suggestions please?

If your handy, remove the plastic cover. Look for screws on the underside. If you don't see any, they are likely under the rubber feet. You may have to pry the feet off carefully so they can be reused. Under the cover you should find a rubber-like membrane that protects the keys from spills. Remove the membrane by lifting it off the keys. You should see small contacts that engage when you push on the keys. If possible, try to clean these contacts with alcohol and a cotton swab. It's not that difficult and if it doesn't work, then as the previous answer indicated, keyboards are really cheap.
