Cannon double oven - bottom oven won't light?

I have just installed a s/h cannon chichester oven given to me by friends. The bottom oven won't light. All other burners work including the top oven.

I notice a mechanical 'clunk' when I turn on the top oven, but none with the bottom oven.

My friends say it was working when I collected it.

Any ideas?

Tony your feedback has been so helpful.
We experienced the same with our cooker.
We've been switching off the power to the cooker to save on electricity.
The main oven will not light when the clock is flashing and needs to be set (anytime)
Cheers

check the electricity supply is on. The timer should be lit; if not then there's a problem with elec supply. I put in a new 3 amp fuse anda ll was Ok. Hope the same for you.

Has it got a clock Bob.The clock could be set to auto and it should be on Manual. The clunk is the mains solenoid valve on the oven that works and you should get a similar noise on the other oven.Definitely a power problem to the oven that doesnt work.
