Replaceing stero in 2001 Peugeot 206 Style?

I'm buying my son his first car. Nothing flash as you can see from the subject! It curretnly only has a radio/casette player and I want to replace it with a Radio/CD player. Nothing exotic, just a straightforward stereo.

How easy it is it to do this? DIY or do I need to get my local garage to do it for me?

Yep mine was the same, changed the existing radio cassette (RB3), with the next model up (with CD) - the RD3 - this still allows the controls on the steering wheel to work and also the display so you know what track number of CD and radio station you are listening to.

Search on ebay for rd3 radio - prefably with VIN of your car precoded.

diy only thing you may need to do is change the switched live and the permanent live round at the inline fuse/bullet connector as they are the other way round

If your exchange radio has ISO sockets then it will fit directly into car with no need to alter any wiring.
