I have a ford 6 CD changing in my car that is refusing to eject the CD's. Evertime I try (or even just switch the unit on) it tries to eject and then comes up with Error E3. How do I take the unit out the dash I can I get the CD's out another way?
Thanks Nigel, I'll give that a go. I don't mind buying a new radio if I have to, it'll probably be cheaper than buying the 6 CD's again.

Hi Bob, code E3 from the Ford workshop manual is "mechanical error" remedy new radio!! last year there was a guy advertising on ebay he could fix the cd mechanism, would be cheaper than a new unit!! to remove the radio you need to push four small screwdrivers or something similar into the four holes in the face of the radio, you can buy the correct tool from the likes of Halfords for about £5 I use the cut-off ends from a wire coathanger with the "tool" in the holes push them outwards and with a bit of juggling it will come out
