My Dyson DC01 has lost suction?

Using my DC01 upright I have lost suction through the main head, however I have suction through the flexible hose and handle. Has something tripped?

I have the same model, my suggestion would be, lay it on its side, on the under side there are three pozi drive screws undo them and remove the panel, you should now see the motor spindle, the drive belt and the brush. My bet there is a build up of crap in this area, dig it all out and put back together. If this dosent sort it check all the areas where the suction path goes including the rubber black flaps on the under side, they close when you have suction.
