The problem is due to Sky remotely modifying the software of our digiboxes in order to make it switch to "Standby" if the box has been left on. It senses that no changes have been made by the user and therefore it "may" have been inadvertantly left ON. This was brought in to make Sky look good with regard to its "Green Credentials". In actual fact its made them look like a load of d*ckh*ads, because lots of people are paying money then didn't need to pay for having what they thought of as a faulty box repaired or replaced.
There is a fix for some of the newer digiboxes, by going into the "Setup" menu and switching off the "Auto Shutdown" option, but on the older digiboxes this is not an option.
Come on Sky, fix the problem fast or give everyone that is adversly affected a brand new digibox free!!
