Adverts pop ups are NOT virus!

What you need is a pop up blocker.

I use Firefox since version 1, and Netscape before that. I NEVER see any publicity pop up, thank to it's built in pop up blocker.

Use an anti-virus program.
AVAST Home Edition is free and it works great.
It does not use up a lot of PC resources like the others.
