The Beosound 1 worked perfectlyn up until last Sat eve.I was playing a number of CDs fairly loudly.
Next morning no response for any function.
Red standby light comes on but CD cover won't open, CD wont play,radio doesn't work.Clearly not a problem with fuse in plug as standby light turns on and off but that 's the only function working.
Might the volume at which it was plying have anything to do with this?
Would be grateful for any information...thanks

Don't know but I have a similar problm with a friend's Besound 1. Think my problem is dirty switches as per TV remotes, how do I get into a Beosound - it's my first time repairing one. If my theory is correct it may be same issue as yours.
