BT Synergy cordless phone 3105?

I have had my phone for a couple of years (2 handsets) and suddenly both displays are flashing the words "Base 1" and I can't get either handset to work. Could you advise how I can fix the problem please?

if you un plug your main base set from the wall socket (electricity supply) and plug back in will reset the units. I have just found that out as mine were doing it . I have just completed the task and it works
