How do I replace the door seal on my Kitchenaid dishwasher?

I ordered a door seal kit from Kitchenaid for my Model KUDR24SEBL1 dishwasher because there was a puddle of water in front of the dishwasher after operating it. The seal looks something like an automobile windshield wiper and appears to fit on the bottom inside edge of the door. I don't have anything to go by, because there is nothing on that inside edge now (I just bought the house a few months ago). Do I need to cement the seal onto the door? If so, what kind of cement should I use? Also, tub spacers came with the kit. Do I need to replace those for the water leak? The instructions that came in the kit are sparse and I cannot see where the door springs on the side rails are to remove the door. Please help. Thanks!
