How do I fix F&P Pride 5.5 Smartdrive 9 ?

How do I fix F&P Pride 5.5 Smartdrive 9 - 1998 model the problem is that on starting the washing machine the water turns on and off a number of times and then goes into fault with 2 green lights, a yellow and a red light and beeping?

You will probably have to replace the switch with a new one. Only very rarely have I seen one stuck on for no apparent reason. Usually it is due to corrosion building up inside the switch. Turn power off, open control panel. remove one screw securing front of main controller box & lift it up until you can see the out of balance switch on the right. Disconnect the two wires & remove the switch. Put in new one & reconnect the two wires. Doesn't matter which way around the wires go.

Your guess is correct the lights are in that sequence. How do I reset the switch?

Thanks!!

Need to tell us the exact lights that are showing. Each light has a numeric value to give the fault code number. I am guessing that from the right hand side you have on red spin light & yellow deep rinse light. Next yellow light off. First green on, next green off & next green on & last two green off. If that is correct then the out of balance switch is stuck in the on position. Usually caused by corrosion. This switch is located under the main control board on the right hand side.
