4dad,, i have the 2 eurovox here , the one you have, and the one your dad has, the remote,s are different , so they will only work for the box they came with,, they might have giveing him ,the old remote , how to check ,is if his remote works on your box , then its the old one!, bring your box with you to his home , to check" ,also check the batt in his one , ill be around tomorrow night , good luck..

were in different houses but i can go round tomorrow and try my remote he has just bought the box so hopefully its the right remote my remote is for max v he used the remote to do a full scan and thats when it got the list of channels but all but freeview are scrambled

4dad , i know its a 5000 pvr , i have one here , are you sure that you have the right remote for it and the batteries are at full power , did you try your remote on it , i think the problem could be the remote , tell me ,, can you get into the settings with the remote you have?

No mick that has not worked either all he has are the freeview channels everything else is scrambled and sorry box is 5000PVR not tvr as i said

try this , press menu, go to ( language settings) ok that , type 1968 1968 to get into the code box mick

hi mick tried that as mine does that but my dads is different it has more buttons on the remote and has hardrive in box any other suggestions please?
