how can i get my sky card to work in a second hand sky box i have just bought

You dont need a card for the free channels. Try Freesatbox.net the bloke on there was more than helpfull and i now have free channels from all over europe - no card - no money - no Murdoch - now thats what i like ! Not sure if i am allowed to tell you in this forum but it is here at http://freesatbox.net/

NO SKY CARD LOL, May 2009

For Free to View channels and some of the subscription channels e.g. Discovery, Sky One, etc. the box should just work. However if the card has not be used for a while you need to put it in the Sky box and leave it for up to three days for it to receive the 'stay alive' signal.

If you have premium channels (Sports, Movies) you need to call sky to 'pair' the card and the box.
