My toilet has become a little wobbly I've noticed that the screws that fix it to the floor are not actually screwed in but just sit in their holes with the exception of one. If the screw is moved around in the hole it appears that there is nothing for it to grip onto, I can't feel a raw plug in there - it appears to be a bit of a void. Until recently there has never been any movement, I suspect when it was originally fitted it was probably stuck down with silicone and perhaps not screwed down completely or properley. What is the best way of having this sorted, would it be a case of taking the toilet out and starting again or can it be done correctly with new screws, rawplugs etc.

Thanks for your replies, it would appear to have the job done right it's going to have to be cemented in. Would you know it the toilet is going to have to be completely removed and disconnected from the soil pipe?

Probably too late but here goes.

Only solutiion remove and re-cement.
You can also add two 'Star fix' frame fixing screws that obviously fit the pan screw holes.

Wickes have these frame fixers, fit a plastic or rubber washer under the star screw head to protect the pan when fitting them.

You will find they are too long so push then screw them in as far as they will go turning them clockwise to form the thread in the wet cement.

Measure the over size from head to pan +approx 2/3mm and remove the star screw and cut off the surplus length screw it back in up to meet the pan and leave it, same for otherside.

Later give them a further careful turn when cement gone off around 18/24hrs if they don't move it won't matter they will still stop pan moving again.

You will also need a 'Star fix' screw bit usually the bit sets sold have them Check on the Store shelf the size to fit the star screw head. A crosshead screwdriver will not fit.

is it a solid floor ? if so it is probably cemented down but over time has come unstuck. if so it will need removing & re doing with fresh cement.
if it is on a wooden floor you can get really good fixings from b&q or any other type place which need to be at least 2 1/2 " long (hope this will be of help to you)
also you could try the easier option but not the professional one which is to squeeze some silicone into each hole & hope it sets but leave it for about 10 hours or overnight.
