Neff H5430 microwave worth trying to repair?

Mistakenly cooked plastic utensil with metal inside. Plastic melted, micro arced. When next used micro worked but smoked and area around turntable spindle scorched. Likely to be fixable/worth getting repair man out?

Hi, probably too late as I only just found this site. Probably not too expensive to repair depending on what has been damaged and what needs replacing. Most likely only the turntable drive so no real problem. Tip, unplug the machine, remove the glass tray and roller ring, carefully prise up the turntable drive using a turning motion and getting your nails beneath it, remove and clean the burnt area with either a DAMP cloth or a mild fibre scouring type pad. The object is to remove the burnt carbon, this is important. When finished wipe area clean, stand a small jug or cup with an inch of water in it in the machine and run for 20 seconds. If all is well no sparks will arise, if this is so run the machine for a minute, if no sparks, job done. Caveat do not reuse the turntable drive unless you are 100 percent certain no burnt carbon is present, not easy to do. Better by a new drive. Make sure the turntable is also clean.
kindest regards
