screen burn or retention?

I have noticed that there is a slight image of a previous page/channel occassonally on my 50" plasma samsung, not always there but does occasionally happen, is this screen burn, which is not fixable, or just image retention which i should be able to fix myself? My tv is only a month old! :-(

plasma panels are easily affected by screen burn more so in the first 200 hours of use. manufacturers do not cover screen burn under warranty. in my opnion manufacturers should make known that pdp screens are prone to burn in the first 200hrs then customers would at least be clued up on this fact

I have also had the same problem, a side effect of falling asleep drunk lol. When you go into picture options there should be the option to turn on the white screen, turn that on and leave your tv for a few hours in pure white. This will reset the pixels and remove your screen burn
