My Ideal Icos HE24 has suddenly stopped?

My Ideal Icos HE24 has suddenly stopped. It was working yesterday! there are no LEDs lit up and I've tried resetting it to no avail. can't get any hot water and underfloor heating also not working. I've checked the fuse at the mains switch and all is okay. I was hoping to get three years out of it without a service, it came new with the build, the guarantee ended in October this year!
I take it that I will have to call out the expensive engineer unless there is another way of trying to reset it.
Any ideas

I have a similar problem with my HE15 except that I have hot water and heating. what I dont have are any lights. Do I need a new PCB?

ideal boilers are rubish buy pcbs in bulk as you will use 1 a year then 2 a year then 3 a year etc. you will also need to replace the control panel at the same time to gain the full 10min life expectancy from the pcb

Thanks Elaine.
In the end I called the man out, I had to wait three days for the PCB and once fitted it worked perfectly. I later found I can claim on the house insurance and they paid up without quibbling.
Marvellous!

I watched the man fit it and basically I could have done it myself.

We have the same problem with ours, everything has gone off even, lcd off too, the emersion heater does not work, we got no hot water or heating, we have replaced the user display unit but it is not that, checked the switch and fuse but all ok, we think it maybe the PCB (printed circuit board). The printed circuit board is around £147.00 or I have located them on Ebay for £68. Apparently IDEAL have updated the PCB (probably for the reasons we are having) and the old part number was 173 534 this has been replaced with a new part number.
