How do i get my SOny NS300 DVD player to play copied DVD's ?

I have a Sony DVP-NS300 DVD player. I want to be able to view copied DVd's on it, at the moment it wont read the disc.

Can the machine be chipped or re-programmed?

Hi,
You've to hack it!!!
There are several ways to do it. The easiest way is using a up-to-date OneForAll with DVD button and follow a few simple rules.
The reprogramming takes the value of 11,22,33,44,55,66 etc... and sound simple but nerve racking.
Alternatively, you could buy a cheapo DVD player from Asda call DUAL and it could even be used for karaoke ie left/right vocal controls and switch to mono for both speakers.

NEVER buy a sony DVD player if you want to play VCDs/SVCDs/etc. They just won't do it!

This is because SONY, as well as making DVD players, etc. are also in the entertainment industry...pumping Billions into the movie/music industry. To try and fight the music/movie piracy problems, they make their DVD players so that copied material won't play on them.

some dvds are not copyable dependant on their number of layers (single, dual, triple) this could be one cause,
