how do i get the player to read the disc?

Kenwood rxd-f2 refuses to read disc. what are the reasonsfor this condition.

Same problem.
Quick disassembly of unit and clean the lens with a tissue.
This requires the circuit board and top plate to be removed after the cover is removed and the unit to be turned off with the disk platter draw slid out.
There is also a trim pot on side of lens holder that is used to adjust the laser output. amy need tweaking but note original position before attempting this adjustment.
Now works ok.
