can you tell me why you explained the freudian reference" way to flash a eurovox? when he said that he was only a leaner, and was looking for a step by step way to get the firmware into the box ,, just wondering why you put it that way. mick, ps dont think we will hear from him again.

In truth I know nothing of Eurovox - even had to look it up to answer the poor chap.. Learning all the time...

The reference to Freudian Reference was my delight in the bizarre language of technology ( I'm 63 and have been involved with computers on and off since 1962) and take cheap pleasure from childish humor - I found the juxtaposition of Unzipping and Flashing somewhat interesting and thought it might brighten his day.

I'm sorry you found my reply not to your liking but unlike you I did actually read what he asked...

"what does flashing ur box mean,ive seen it mentioned a few times and wonder what it is can any1 enlighten me i am only a learner PLEASE"

Notice he does not ask for step by step instructions, just an explanation of terminology - so I think I answered his question relatively well. The Freudian bit was more of a postscript that might only frighten those of a very sensitive nature...
