I'm about to sell my 2002 Focus, so have taken my stereo out and put the 6006e CD changer back in. Its powered on ok, but is asking for an unlock code.

I have two codes, one inside the front cover of the audio manual and one on a sticker in the service manual which also has the unit's serial number on it. The serial number matches the unit, but neither code seems to work.

Any ideas? I've now got a countdown timer on the unit which I'm guessing I have to wait to reach 0 before I can try again, but I'm wary about permanently locking it.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem. Typed wrong code too many times.
Then I had 30 minutes countdown, and now the radio is LOCKED.
It wont take any code now

How to unlock it?
BTW I have the correct code (asked previous owner for a manual) now I need to unlock the radio so I can type in the code.

Hi you must wait until the countdown timer reaches zero , if not you can buy a standard Ford 6000 CD player for about £45 which is exactly the same fitting the 6006 go for about £80 to £100 it might be worth you selling yours as faulty it will prob sell for £20 to £30 regards Fatbaldyman343 check me out on e bay
