when i flush the toilet when it refills it still keeps flushing slightly

If it runs on continous in steady stream into the pan then check the level when full it may need reducing.
try it with lid off [If top flush button type just pull up the flush arm inside the button arm normally operates.] Mine did the same and it stopped by reducing fill level.
