fisher and paykel gw 611 was working perfectly, got 'wet feet' and died?

gw 611 in perect order 5 yo flood water came in 6" deep for an hour, machine died (was left switched on at the wall) and is still dead.

And the question is??? Water probably wet the motor & that would of shorted out the motor controller board. You would need to remove the motor stator, check the copper wiring & the RPS hall sensor circuit board mounted on top of the stator for damage. Also open up & check control module in panel to see if anything has visibly shorted out. If you have to replace all three parts, the cost would be quite expensive. Hope you have good insurance cover.
