My Brother Boutique 761 is 35 yr's old and has developed a random knocking sound. I have oiled it, cleaned the bobbin area, and ran it with and without thread and fabric and needle. I have also turned the selector dial several times with no problems. The stitching is fine. What do you recommend about the knocking sound? Thank you in advance.

Hello Shelby,
Take the top off your machine and inspect the camstack, I think the camstack may have a split in it.
