Boiler Replacement?

I currently have an "Ideal Standard Concord RS Series 2A" free standing boiler running a gravity fed hot water system and pupmed centeral heating system, and I wish to replace it with a wall mounted balance flue boiler, could you give me any ideas on which boiler to purchase?

Tony S is bang on the mark.
I am a heating enginer that specialises in boilers. If i had a Concord in good working order, then i would not replace it. If i was renovating or needed to move the boiler then i would replace it.
The boiler that i would reccommend is a BAXI SOLO. This is a condensing boiler(it has to be to conform with regulations), but it is a boiler that you can connect to your existing gravity fed system. Don't be tempted to fit a SYSTEM boiler that makes your system pressurized as you will find out how good your original pipework and radiators are ( i once changed five radiators that sprung leaks after a system boiler was installed by Bronco the coyboy plumber onto a gravity fed system).
The BAXI SOLO is a cracking boiler, cheapish, as reliable as any other, and quite small and compact for its size.

I am not up to date now Ernest, but i am fairly sure you will now have to install a combi or condensing boiler as you will struggle to purchase a new system boiler as all the regs have changed.I know your old Ideal may seem like a dinosaur but i bet youve hardly had any bother with it.Look at all the questions on here and nearly all are to do with breakdowns of Combis or Condensing boilers and there are still thousands of the ideal types out there.Unless you are 100% certain you want a new boiler i would stick with the old one till a part goes that you cannot get.
