Not sure what stereo you have, but EON stands for Enhanced Other Networks. You will hear traffic reports. You will probably also have TP (Traffic Program) on your stereo aswell. Try pressing the TP button a few times and it should disappear.
Press TP once to activate TP: will be seen as [TP]
Press again to activate TP and EON: will be seen as [TP] EON
Press TP again and they should both disappear.
