Hello i have seen a Kenwood Chef mixer for sale second hand its the A901e i have been looking at some A901 also, can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 2 (what does the e stand for), thanks Tanya.

only looking for a dust cover for my 901e, and got onto this website. Seems a lot of misinformation on it as I have a 30year old model, used regularly, never had a problem, and it has a 375 watt motor not 450watt.

My mistake. I just look into my A901E the wattage is 375. Sorry

A901E is the improved version for European market. I have both models and I find that E the motor runs significantly better more stable. What a shock difference. Wish I have known earlier.
If you have to do repairs there is a difference in the parts from Ebay UK so make sure whether its for A901/A901A/A901E/A901P
There is also a P model which I came across on internet but not seen anywhere.
According to this webpage
http://kenwoodchefrestore.co.uk/Kenwood%20Chef%20Models1.htm
A901 is 375 watts and A901E is 450watt
This is a great website as its has compatibility of attachment charts.
This is service

I thought the 901E only came out in the late 70's according to Wikepedia

Hi , The A901 had often problems with the motor circuit breaking down .
The A901E is the improved version .
If the motor circuit is damaged You can get a set with the spare parts for just a few Euro on eBay .
However it takes a skilled technician to replace these parts .
Best Regards , Wim

Haven't a clue. All I know is that I have had a 901E for almost 50 years and it has never once let me down. I use it every day and I use the liquidiser in preference to my other blenders, bamix and moulinex
