How can I fix my Hoover Frost Free Plus fridge freezer?

The refridgerator display on my Hoover frost free plus fridge freezer is displaying Error 1 & the internal light is flashing. the freezer is working perfectly & at the moment the fridge seems to be OK. Does anyone know what this display means?
