Hoover HNF3157-80 Not draining?

I have a HNF3157 not draining before the spin cycle, it appears to drain during its normal wash fine, but it continually tries to drain at the spin cycle. Prior to failing completely the washer seemed to lose programs that it would work on, the it failed totally

I have emptied the filter and also have checked inside the pump and it is clear.

Mike

Do you have any suggestions what to do next? Do I have to replace the pump or the program module?

Don't think it is that because you can drain the water out when you lower the pipe below the height of the drum

pull the hose off the back of the drain pump. i have a hoover HNL6166-80 that did the exact same thing, and found there was a sock in the pipework behind the pump itself
