I have a cannon Cambridge double oven. Both ovens light fine but the main oven will not flair up at all for the higher settings and therefore will not heat up sufficiently for most cooking.
The flame failure device has packed in.This is a mercury filled valve situated inside the cooker.The rod straddling the oven burner is connected to this valve,but to change it is a major stripdown of the appliance im afraid.
