I have 3 sets of lights in my lounge controlled by a 3-way dimmer switch. One set (controlling 8 ceiling lights) has stopped working - I've switched the wires in the dimmer switch to prove that the switch is not faulty and the same set still don't work.

check a wire hasnt come out of the ceiling light sometimes they just pop out over time.
