Lifestyle 522 heating control screen blank?

My Lifestyle 522 heating/hot water control went blank after an 8 hour power cut - the heating is on constantly now but I cannnot turn it on or off(except using the room thermostat) and the hot water is working twice a day - none of the controls have any effect including the advance buttons.Any ideas how to fix or do I need a new unit ? I think the unit is a Siebe Lifestyle 522.

Possibly the battery back up isnt working and it has reverted to factory settings. There should be a power fused spur switch at the side of the clock which will cut nthe boiler off if you dont want it on.Turn that off and then back on and see if the clock behaves itself, otherwise the clocks electronics may have shot.I think these are fairly easy to change as you just undo the 2 grubscrews at either end underneath and the module just lifts off leaving the wiring in situ.Get exactly the same clock and just replace the module if need be.
