The AEG 75388 KG has an evaporator mounted on the roof of the freezer compartment. Behind this is a fan that blows cooled air into the freezer and up a channel behind the fridge compartment. In the fridge the cooled air is delivered behind the top light and then falls via the plastic air distribution ducting fitted on the back wall inside. The air goes through a filter in an effort to reduce smells. The current temperatures of each chamber are displayed outside togerther with the demand temperature controls. When the fridge reaches the demand temp a moter driven flap closes off the cold air supply behind the top light.
First make sure that ice blockage is not an issue by defrosting completely (at least 12 hrs).
1. Check that the compressor is running, it's probably OK if the freezer is cold.
2. Check that you can hear the freezer compartment located fan running. Double check by feeling an air flow at the back wall of the freezer.
3. Now check that the fridge cold air supply flap is open. Open the filter draw, remove the filter and use a mirror and torch. If the flap is open, the fan is running and the freezer is cold, the fridge should cool.
4. If the flap is closed it could be the flap drive motor at fault or the controller.
5. If the fridge tends to rise to 15C it is possible that the controller has put it into holiday mode. Try powering off at the appliance switch (button A). Leave for 5 mins and turn on. Sometimes it will go off immediately so try press and hold in for a while until it stays powered up. Now reset the demand temp to 4C.
