How do I remove the switch housing from a Dyson DC07?

I want to replace the mains lead as it has been damaged. Although I have removed the screw, the grey housing that surrounds the yellow on/off switch is reluctant to move forward. There is a small latch at the bottom and I have applied gentle leverage to this to no avail (don't want to break it. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,

Just go to www.dyson-online.com and look at their technical advice section. The site is fantastic! Good luck.

If you one has the latch at the bottom of the yellow on/off switch then 90% of the time they will break but you can glue the latch back on or you can get a new one from dyson some of them have a screw at the back of the canester where you can get into it from there
