My fuse blew?

I was putting shelves up in my main room and the fuse blew, I replaced the fuse wire and everything went on ok, however two sockets in my main room are not not giving out any power is there a way i can fix this without an electrician?

I guess you may have drilled into a cable in the wall.

Your story suggests this but it could possibly be just that there's a wire adrift on the back face of the non-working socket outlet. Check for this first - otherwise it was your drill...

If this is the case the repair will require the skills of an electrician, a plasterer and a painter.
