How do I remove the old clock works?

I'm trying to remove a AA battery clock works to replace it with another works from another clock I am not using. I loosened the nut, but I can't get the clock works free.

this works on most quartz clock workings if the face is open type (ie no glass) remove the second finger ,remove the minute hand then the hour hand undo the nut completely off, the movement should then be able to be removed through the rear of the clock. If the clock has a plastic glass need to remove to access the fingers then follow the above advice.
